To all of you who have always offered such warm support:
As previously announced, I will be closing this blog
which I have maintained for so long by the end of this year.
For this final month, I have been energetically sharing posts every day from Hawaii, a place I love dearly. Being able to share the pleasant breezes and beautiful scenery of Hawaii with you all in real time was an incredibly happy.
While this chapter of sharing via a blog is coming to close, my journey will continue at my own pace and filled with pure enjoyment.
Thank you so much for being a part of my life’s story and for following along with me for so long.

いかにもAIっぽい型はまり文章だけど、なんかイイかも。
AIに書かせたレポートをAIが点数つけて、
AIが書いた履歴書でAIが採用を決める、
AI執筆 ✕ AI添削 ＝ もう塾も要らないね。
AIってやっぱ日本語より＜英語が上手い。
素っ気なくて気持ち入らず結構好き。

以前お伝えしました通り、長年にわたり続けてきたこのブログを、
今年の年末をもちまして閉鎖することにいたしました。
最後の1ヶ月となった今月は、私たちが心から愛する場所、ハワイから毎日精力的に投稿を続けてきました。
ハワイの心地よい風や美しい景色を、
リアルタイムで皆さまと分かち合えたことは、本当に信じられないほど幸せな時間でした。
ブログを通じて発信していくという一つの章はこれで幕を閉じますが、私たちの旅はこれからも、
自分自身のペースで、純粋な楽しみに満ちた形で続いていきます。
私たちの人生のストーリーの一員になってくださり、そして長い間こうして見守り、
ついてきてくださって、本当にありがとうございました。

連邦政府はハワイ大学の設定が違法だと訴え、個人的に興味深いネタです。
昨年UHMの州内居住者向け学費は＄11,520、州外居住者は＄33,552だそうで、
以前から resident と non-resident student の授業料の差は約3倍でした。
そして以前から学生のステイタスに関しては、グレーゾーンも珍しくありませんでした。

随分昔の話で記憶があやふやですが、
ワタシがUHMで学んでいた頃は確か1セメの授業料は＄1000程度でした。
留学生はその3倍支払っていたと思いますが、成績優秀者は半額になるので、
みんなシリアスに鬼勉してました。
ワタシはそこまで優秀でなく so- so student でしたが、
当時の建築学部は日本人女性の卒業生が存在せず、
教授陣もhelpfulでとても居心地の良いキャンパスライフでした。
学生時代に嫌な経験が皆無と言うと、大概信じてもらえませんが（笑）
振り返るに、afformative action のような優遇で、
飛行機代＋宿代＝学部全持ちで日本の建築巡りをエンジョイし、
往きは学生達でJALのCクラス2階貸し切りで太っ腹でした。

親或いは本人が永住権又は米国市民権を持ち、
1年以上ハワイに拠点を持ち、独立して生活していることを証明できれば、
resident tuition は可能だと専門サイトにありました。
が、今後の動向に注目です。
